Due to the spread of COVID-19 and the restrictions put in place by the British Government and Worldwide, we at Lighthouse Safety now advise that our HQ at Ivy Street, Rainham is closed until further advice from the Government.
As an organisation we are now set up and running with multiple Zoom video conferencing accounts for our Training and Compliance teams and will endeavour to continue the delivery of as much training as we can with this method, throughout this difficult time.
We are accredited by ProQual to offer NVQ Level 3 and NVQ Level 6 Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
These qualifications are aimed at candidates who are responsible for developing and applying health and safety procedures day to day in their organisation. They may be a staff member, supervisor or manager looking to improve their knowledge and skills.
Successful completion of these NVQ's will enable the candidate to apply for IOSH membership.
Learning is done so remotely via a learning platform along with full support from our our training team and assessors.
At present at Lighthouse Safety we are business as usual.
We are constantly checking the government guidance and continuing with advising on personal hygiene supplying staff, students and clients with antibacterial hand soap and tissues with fresh air flow through the building.
In addition we are taking temperatures of staff, students and clients upon arrival daily, and anyone with a temperature greater than 37.8 degrees we request they go home and ring NHS 111.
NEBOSH have listened to what businesses said they needed for those responsible for health and safety within their organisation to do and know, and have streamlined that into new content that represents the role of a real-life health and safety professional.
They’ve also listened to their learners and have updated the language to make it easier for people to understand. In addition, the structure has also been modified so there’s now less emphasis on exams and a bigger focus on practical application.
The following guidance information has been sourced from IOSH and the World Health Organisation (WHO) updates as of 3rd March 2020.
