You are about to embark on a challenging programme of study, one which should enhance your knowledge and understanding of health and safety management as well as your professional status. Be under no misunderstanding, this is an intense learning program, a program that requires your ultimate commitment to learning both in and out of the classroom. You will be asked to sign a learning agreement on day one of the course, which commits you to full participation towards your learning.
The Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification (NC) is aimed at anyone (managers, supervisors and workers) in the construction sector. It’s ideal for anyone who needs a broad understanding of construction health and safety issues to be able to manage day-to-day risks effectively.
Many people take this qualification as a first step in a career in construction health and safety. It gives a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study.
The aim of this assessment is for you to practically apply your knowledge and understanding gained from your studies of the NC syllabus. To do this, you will complete an Open Book Examination (OBE) based on a fictional construction site.
Successful delegates are awarded the qualification by the examining body NEBOSH approximately 16 weeks after the last day of the course. However, students are informed of their results approximately 11 weeks after the exam date.
Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician membership (TechIOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
We provide our NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification course as two separate one week blocks of instruction followed by the Open Book Exam.
Typical fees for open courses are £875 plus VAT per person at our training rooms in Rainham and joined remotely. However, this can vary for in-house courses.
We run open courses regularly in our training centre in Rainham, Kent. The course can also be joined remotely.
It pays to be selective when booking training courses because not all training providers are what they appear to be. When booking a NEBOSH Construction Course you need to feel assured that your training provider is fully accredited to provide that training and is not then going to sub-contract the work. Lighthouse Safety Training are fully accredited by NEBOSH to provide the NEBOSH Construction course.
Harry’s leadership of the course is excellent. Harry uses his personality to make people feel at ease and help to cement learnings.
An excellent two weeks of training. Harry is a very competent and engaging instructor who is always willing to listen and help in any way he can. A very good learning environment which makes the learning process easier.
Harry has engaging, honest teaching skills. Thoroughly enjoyed the course and have learned so much.
Excellent as always, will always recommend Lighthouse
Not just a first class safety course but also a life lesson! Harry is a first class tutor and made learning fun and enjoyable.
Harry is, without doubt, the most engaging Training provider I have come across, and the responsiveness of the Group as a whole reflected his enthusiasm for what he was teaching us.
The course is great. Harry is engaging and knowledgeable. He is always available and welcoming, and very funny! The ‘additional’ elements – e.g. slides and audio are great and over and above anything I have ever received before. I would recommend Lighthouse to anyone as a result of Harry’s attitude and outlook. Thanks Harry.
Excellent course. Harry is an excellent trainer and is the best I have ever had
Brilliant teaching, fully involving and encouraging to all.
I shall recommend Harry to anybody. His courses are fantastic. Great. Enjoyed everyday here.

Soo happy with my result – just show what a great teacher you are!!!
I just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you for your tuition, advice, support and encouragement!
You really made the course interesting and enjoyable and I wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to you for your help to achieve this qualification.
Really enjoyed the course, feel like I’ve learnt a lot. Will definitely recommend Lighthouse to others and will definitely be booking further training for HOB.
Very pleased with my results. A distinction was not in my sights but very chuffed to get it. Just wanted to say thank you again for your teaching and guidance during the course. As well as learning so much in a relatively short time, it was made enjoyable too.
I have attended other NEBOSH courses and you are the best of all the trainers by some margin. Of the most help I have found was your coaching in tackling NEBOSH questions; understanding what they are asking and how it should be answered caused me the greatest problem.
The course was run excellently, covering the sufficient with sufficient content. Great instructions from Harry throughout. Overall great course and looking forward to the Fire and environment.
