Our health & safety compliance services are wide and varied, as we always aim to match our services precisely to the requirements of our clients. We aim to work to agreed deadlines and to date, a deadline has never been missed. Did you know as an employer you have a legal duty to have readily available competent health and safety advice as set down in the Management of (Health and Safety at Work) Regulations 1999?
Our staff can offer as much help as required and bespoke a service to suit all budgets and timescales. We can provide help from as simple as telephone support to, monthly visits to your offices where we deal with any safety related issues and paperwork; provide a full site inspection and reporting service; safety managers and team members; our staff can even act as your senior Safety Manager or Safety Director. Whatever the level of support you require we can adapt a service to suit your needs.
Lighthouse Safety Training was established in June 2004, offering a bespoke Health, Safety & Environmental training and consultancy service to predominately, but not solely the construction industry, our expertise also covers manufacturing, retail and office environments. Since opening, our business has grown year on year, we are now firmly established to achieve continued growth and geographic spread. Located in Rainham, Kent, we own an old Masonic Hall which we have modernised throughout to provide three fully equipped training classrooms and associated office facilities. There are two main areas of our business, Training and Compliance.
At present we have glorious weather in the UK, however working in this heat isn't the same as relaxing in it, especially if outside. The HSE states that 4,500 skin cancers a year are a result of outside working.
So, is there a maximum temperature in workplaces?
The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 says that your employer must maintain a reasonable temperature where you work, but it does not specify a maximum temperature.
To celebrate our 15th year of business we are aiming to raise £15,000 for a selection of charities chosen by our team members.
Lighthouse Club Construction Industry Charity, Versus Arthritis, Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, Darent Valley Hospital - Little Buds (Special Care Baby Unit) and 4th Gillingham Sea Scouts
