We are accredited by ProQual to offer NVQ Level 3 and NVQ Level 6 Occupational Health and Safety Practice.

These qualifications are aimed at candidates who are responsible for developing and applying health and safety procedures day to day in their organisation. They may be a staff member, supervisor or manager looking to improve their knowledge and skills.

Successful completion of these NVQ’s will enable the candidate to apply for IOSH membership.

Learning is done so remotely via a learning platform along with full support from our our training team and assessors.

Which NVQ is best for you?

ProQual Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Practice

£1275 plus VAT

This is a 2 year competency assessed course carried out remotely for those looking to progress a career in health and safety and for those seeking Technician Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH).
Course Content

Candidates must complete all of the Mandatory Units, plus a minimum of TWO Optional Units

Mandatory Units 

Unit 1: Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety.

Unit 2: Develop procedures to safely control work operations.

Unit 3: Monitor procedures to safely control work operations.

Unit 4: Promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace.

Unit 5: Conduct a health and safety risk assessment of the workplace.

Optional Units 

Unit 6: Investigate and evaluate health and safety incidents and complaints in the workplace.

Unit 7: Make sure actions in the workplace aim to protect the environment.

Unit 8: Review health and safety procedures in the workplace.

Unit 9: Supervise the health, safety and welfare of a learner in the workplace.

This is a 2 year competency assessed course carried out remotely for those looking to progress a career in health and safety and for those seeking Chartered Membership of IOSH (Grad IOSH).Course Content

Unit 1: Promote a positive health and safety culture.
Unit 2: Develop and implement the health and safety policy.
Unit 3: Develop and implement effective communication systems for health and safety information.
Unit 4: Develop and maintain individual and organisational competence in health and safety matters.
Unit 5: Identify, assess and control health and safety risks.
Unit 6: Develop and implement proactive monitoring systems for health and safety.
Unit 7: Develop and implement reactive monitoring systems for health and safety.
Unit 8: Develop and implement health and safety emergency response systems and procedures.
Unit 9: Develop and implement health and safety review systems.
Unit 10: Maintain knowledge of improvements to influence health and safety practice.
