Site experiences over the past few months have indicated that attitudes are changing towards Health and Safety compliance and people now seem to understand more clearly the benefits this brings.
This is particularly the case when site personnel have undergone training relevant to their role – such as the SSSTS course, SEATS studies etc. This training highlights topic information that many of the participants already knew but had perhaps become complacent to, therefore bringing it back to the forefront of their minds. As a result, practices have improved – audit scores have risen; site fines and disciplinary actions have dropped.
