First – SSIP Accreditation
Gain SSIP accreditation either CHAS/SMAS/Construction Line/Safe Contractor
Second – Training
Certain levels of training are required as a minimum requirement, they are:

- IOSH Directing Safely
Managers
- Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS, 5 Day)
- IOSH Managing Safely (4 Day)
Supervisors
- Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS, 2 Days)
Operatives
- Construction Skills 1 Day Health and Safety Awareness
Additional training that may be required could be:
- First Aid
- Fire Warden
