Ok, so the open day was successful, phew. We had a full training room of clients and new faces from principal contractors such as Willmott Dixon and Faithdean to event planners.
Andrew opened the day with tea and coffee on tap, biscuits and I think, the best bacon sandwiches I’ve ever tasted with compliments from Bunkers sandwich Bar.
CDM 2015 overview was delivered very well by Harry covering all the major changes from the CDM 2007 regulations, with plenty of questions coming from the audience this proved to be a hot topic.
I then followed with the very recent changes to the Sentencing Guidelines coming into force on February the 1st this year. Highlighting some significant hard hitting but fair changes in fines and sentencing.
Lastly we allocated some time to our friends over at Elmstone Systems to discuss their Health and Safety Management System, which allows companies to comply with the likes of 9001, 18001 and 14001 but specifically on the day to talk about the near miss reporting app and management system which we will be working with closely to develop. I believe there were even a few interested companies on the day.
