Fee for intervention – What you need to know

In recent Newsletters we have mentioned the introduction of Fee for intervention, which aims to charge duty holders for the HSE’s time where a material breach has been identified by one of their inspectors.

To aid understanding the HSE has recently released a simple guide, “Fee for intervention – What you need to know,” which is a MUST read in order for all duty holders (employers and the self employed alike), to understand the implications.

The Fee for Intervention hourly rate for 2012/13 is £124. The many businesses that comply with their legal obligations will continue to pay nothing.
