Are you completing CITB Registered courses, e.g .SMSTS , SSSTS etc? Are you CITB registered?
If as an employer, you are registered with the CITB Construction Scheme, you may not be aware that you can claim a grant to help you with the cost of training your employees.
What you also may not know is that for courses which run between the 1st October 2011 and the 31st March 2012 a short term initiative has been agreed by the CITB-ConstructionSkills Training Committee – to increase Site Safety Plus grant to a rate of £52.50 per day.
That means that if you’re looking to put your employee on a SMSTS Course over five days, you will be able to claim £262.50 towards the cost of this course. Or on a SSSTS Course, which is also eligible for the grant, you can claim £105 towards the cost.
For courses which run between the 1st August 2011 and the 30th September 2011, and between 1st April 2012 and 31st July 2012, grant will be paid at a rate of £17.50 per day.
