Due to the spread of COVID-19 and the restrictions put in place by the British Government and Worldwide, we at Lighthouse Safety now advise that our HQ at Ivy Street, Rainham is closed until further advice from the Government.
While the British government have not released specific guidance for our industry, we feel that this can help to slow the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible. Our aim up until this time has been to continue to teach important skills in the safest way possible.
As an organisation we are now set up and running with multiple Zoom video conferencing accounts for our Training and Compliance teams and will endeavour to continue the delivery of as much training as we can with this method, throughout this difficult time.
At present we can deliver courses from NEBOSH and IOSH and are awaiting further guidance from other awarding bodies.
We will announce video conference delivery for our courses to all students in due course.
Additionally to continue improving your Health & Safety knowledge you could embark on an NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety which is a remote, home learning course via a Learning Management Portal that our team of tutors and assessors will be with you for advice, knowledge and support.
Having tested various video conferencing software we feel Zoom will provide the best teaching experience enabling students to always see the tutor along with presentation slides, jointly discuss subjects, chat, and also raise hand when you have a question, and is readily available across devices and platforms.
In addition to traditional phone and email methods, our Compliance team can also use Zoom for any video conferencing our clients require. Although we are unable to carry out site visits this is a great opportunity to develop new systems and catch up on any paperwork, so please do get in touch.
Lastly we would just like to say STAY SAFE!
