Thanks to this collaboration, eligible construction businesses can now access 70% funded training on a wide range of CITB-accredited courses and NEBOSH qualifications delivered by Lighthouse Safety — one of the UK’s leading providers of health, safety, and environmental training.

What Are Employer Networks?
The Employer Networks are a UK-wide initiative created by CITB to make training more accessible, more relevant, and more employer-driven. Instead of complicated funding applications, the Networks offer direct access to training discounts based on what businesses in your region actually need.
Key aims of the initiative include:

Removing red tape so employers can quickly access training

Helping shape local and regional training priorities

Supporting skills development in trade areas, digital tech, net zero, leadership, and more
Following a successful pilot since July 2022, which helped over 1,000 businesses, CITB rolled out the Employer Networks across all of Great Britain in 2024. Impressively, 86% of participating employers agreed the process of accessing training was simpler through the network.
