CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH

Course Description

This qualification introduces candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available, and the requirements of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).

Who Should Attend

This course is specifically designed to assist those responsible for controlling and assessing the use of and Hazardous Substances at work, in addition is enables as employees who use hazardous substances in all industries to understand their role in maintaining a Safe System of Work in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.

Course Content

This qualification will prepare all employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances, it will identify the hazards associated with those substances, identify the risks and controls available to deal with the substances, and identify what to expect from a COSHH assessment.

Assessment & Award

The course assessment is by multiple choice examination paper, with successful candidates receiving the CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH.

Duration

Half-day programme.

Cost

Charges are dependent on the number of candidates (minimum of 6), and travel distance, but are based around £95 + VAT per person.

Venue

This course could be run at our Training Centre in Rainham, Kent but is typically run at client locations throughout the UK.
