Course Description

The CIEH Level 2 Awards in Food Safety provide a flexible syllabus which enables training to be tailored to meet specific needs.

Who Should Attend

This course is essential for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled, typical environments may include, pubs, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and retail environments, food and drink manufacturers, hospitals, care homes, schools and prisons

Course Content

Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensure that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat, it will provide a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved, how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling) and give the confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers.

Duration: One-day programme

Assessment: Multiple choice examination

Assessment & Award

The course assessment is a multiple choice examination paper. Successful candidates will receive the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety.

Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years.

Duration

This is a one day programme running from 9am to 4.30pm.

Cost

Charges are dependent on the number of candidates (minimum of 6), and travel distance, but are based around £95 + VAT per person.

Venue

This course could be run at our Training Centre in Rainham, Kent but is typically run at client locations throughout the UK.

When booking a CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety Course you need to feel assured that your training provider is fully accredited to provide that training and is not then going to sub-contract the work.
