Fire Wardens Course
Course Description
The Fire Wardens course has been designed to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It requires the ‘responsible person’ of every workplace to carry out a fire risk assessment and to nominate a sufficient number of Fire Wardens to assist in implementing the procedures identified in that fire risk assessment.
Who Should Attend
Anyone responsible for overseeing fire safety, designated Fire Wardens, and anyone who needs to know how to use fire extinguishers. Previous experience and/or qualifications are not a requirement.
Course Content
The course will cover The role of the Fire Warden, Liaison with the Fire Service, Action on discovering fire, Fire safety legislation, The chemistry of the fire, Common causes of fire, Fire safety precautions, Fire drills and evacuation, How to use fire extinguishers and when booked and practical, the use of Fire Extinguishers in a live fire scenario.
Assessment & Award
Candidates will be assessed throughout the course. Successful candidates will be awarded certification which will detail the syllabus covered and that an appropriate standard has been achieved.
Duration
This is a ½ day course tailored to suit your needs and requirements.
Cost
This course is best suited as an ‘in house course’ and charges will therefore be wholly dependent on duration, content, location and whether live fire training is required. We are happy to present you with a quote once we understand your requirements.
Venue
This course is mostly run on-site with clients.
