Description
This course designed to provide safety training on the gas nailers and compressed air nailers. It is suitable for anyone likely to use, maintain or manage the use of these items and would be particularly useful for anyone that may need to Risk Assess these activities.

This course is aimed at those who require to use, maintain or manage the above tools in their workplace.

- Introduction to PUWER, covering, Suitability, Maintenance, Training and Instructions
- Hazards
- Precautions
- HAVS & Noise
- PPE
- Different types of equipment
- How the type of nailer works
- Safety features of the equipment
- Accessories
- Safe handling
- Safe storage
- Different types of nails explanation
- Maintenance of the machine, stripping and cleaning the item, as known as an “end user service”
- Assessment on the above
- Safe use of the machine, missfires, nail jam etc.
Assessment & Award
Assessment is in the form of a practical exam and a local certificate is provided.
Duration
1/2 day to 1 day course for each nailer category, or combined for a day if 2 types of nailer required, depending on level of experience.
Cost
This course is best suited as an ‘in house course’; charges will therefore be wholly dependent on location and candidate numbers. Typical charges for this course will be approximately £70 per person, however multiple bookings will attract a reduction in the charge.
Venue
We can arrange to run these courses in our Training Centre in Rainham, Kent. or we are happy to travel to your location or site if suitable facilities are available.
